If so, then check out this unboxing video. You’re getting a quick look at the Nendoroid Doll Easel Stands, what’s inside the package and how it works with a NendoDoll. Are these the right stands for your Nendoroid doll? Watch the video below to help with your decision. Afterwards, have a look at my favorite things and what to look out for with these stands. Enjoy! What I Like I like that these stands are for Nendoroid Dolls. What to Look Out For The stand was a pain to insert into my NendoDoll Ruler. I don’t know why that is but she didn’t like the easel. There was no issue inserting the tip into Inventor but the stand didn’t feel as stable upon the surface as I want my stands to be. And I couldn’t get him to totally stand up straight (could be a user error) Another thing that concerned me, was when I had Kanou the Inventor on a table and I “accidentally” bumped into it, the table shook and Inventor went crashing down This was probably because I couldn’t get both legs of the stand to sit flat on the tabletop. One leg was always slightly lifted off the table, which ultimately offered little support to hold up Inventor. This may not be an issue if he were on a solid shelf or surface that didn’t wobble when bumped. Would I buy these stands again? No. I prefer the magnetic stand that comes with the Nendoroid doll. Update: My Thoughts After More Use When I first tested the easel stand with my Nendoroid Doll Ruler, it didn’t go well. She didn’t like it, and honestly, neither did I. The stand felt unstable, tricky to insert, and I couldn’t get it to stand straight. Poor Inventor even took a tumble when I bumped the table definitely not what you want from a support stand. But here’s the thing. That 1 bad experience made me think the whole stand was the problem. It wasn’t. Months later, I tried the same easel stand with some of my other Nendoroid Dolls and it worked. No wobbling, no tipping, and no frustration. The issue I had with Ruler seems to be more about her than the stand itself. Since then, I’ve been using the easel stands with all my Nendo Dolls, and they’ve held up great. Would I Buy These Again? So, would I still say “never again”? Actually… I take that back. I’ve changed my mind. The issues I had with Ruler and Inventor made me think these stands just weren’t for me. But after using them with more Nendoroid Dolls, I’ve had a completely different experience. They’ve turned out to be solid, easy to use, and dependable for most of my Nendo dolls. These stands earned their spot in my display setup. I still think the magnetic base has its place (especially for certain poses), but I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up more of these easel stands. Sometimes it just takes a little extra testing to see what works. But after using it with more Nendoroid Dolls over time, it completely won me over. It’s now the stand I use for all my Nendo Dolls. If you’re collecting these dolls, it’s one to seriously consider.
